4.1 Bookings are confirmed only once you receive a confirmation email.
4.2 Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£). Price changes don't affect confirmed bookings.
4.3 Payment is taken at booking via our payment provider (Shopify / Shop Pay).
4.4 Instalments (Ijazah): you agree to pay each instalment on the dates set at booking; your place is confirmed on the first instalment. The deposit / first instalment is non-refundable. Missed instalments may pause access until resolved.
5.1 Statutory cooling-off: under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days from booking to cancel for a full refund — except where you asked us to begin, or the Offering takes place, within that window. Once you access or download any Content, you lose the right to cancel that Content.
5.2 Our windows (where the statutory right doesn't apply):
Workshops: full refund if you cancel 7+ days before; within 7 days, a credit or transfer. You may send someone in your place with 48 hours' notice.
Foundation Courses: full refund if you cancel 14+ days before the start; within 14 days, a credit or transfer; none once begun.
Ijazah: the deposit / first instalment secures your place and is non-refundable (see 4.4).
Events: full refund if you cancel 7+ days before; within 7 days, a credit or transfer.
5.3 If we cancel or reschedule: you'll receive a full refund or transfer. We may make reasonable changes to timing, venue or teacher; significant changes come with a transfer or refund. We're not liable for incidental costs (e.g. travel).
5.4 Refund timing: approved refunds are issued within 14 days.
6.1 You are responsible for attending at the stated times; missed sessions are not generally refunded.
6.2 Materials are provided as stated (on the day for workshops; a list on enrolment for courses).
6.3 We may ask anyone whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe or disrespectful to leave, without refund.
6.4 In-person sessions may involve tools such as craft knives and inks. Please follow our and the venue's reasonable safety instructions, take part with due care, and tell us in advance of any access needs or health conditions.
7.1 We describe and picture Products accurately; slight variation in handmade or natural materials is normal.
7.2 Delivery is to the areas and timeframes shown at checkout; risk passes to you on delivery.
7.3 Returns: you may cancel physical Products within 14 days of receiving them. Tell us within 14 days, return them unused in original condition within 14 days of telling us, and we'll refund within 14 days of receiving them. You pay return postage unless the item is faulty.
7.4 Exceptions: the 14-day return doesn't apply to bespoke or personalised items, or to sealed goods once unsealed where return isn't appropriate for hygiene or quality.
7.5 Faulty products: your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected — Products must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
8.1 All Content and branding is owned by or licensed to Al Khatt Studio, for your personal, non-commercial learning only.
8.2 You must not record, copy, share, resell or redistribute our Content, or use it for teaching, without written permission.
8.3 Artwork and demonstrations remain the intellectual property of the artist or studio. Commissioned work is subject to a separate commission agreement, which sets out ownership and reproduction rights.
9.1 Subscribing to our newsletter means consenting to emails from us; you can unsubscribe any time.
9.2 In our community spaces, take part respectfully and lawfully; we may remove anyone in breach.
10.1 We don't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything that can't lawfully be limited.
10.2 Otherwise, we're not liable for unforeseeable losses or business losses; our total liability for any Offering or Product is limited to the amount you paid.
10.3 We're not responsible for third-party sites we link to.
We handle your data in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We may update these Terms; the version in force at the time of your booking or purchase applies.
We're not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. extreme weather, illness, venue closure, utility or internet failure); we'll offer a transfer or refund as appropriate.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to the courts of England and Wales.
